This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver timely, courteous, and top-notch customer service to all policyholders and claimants by responding to customer calls, processing claims, and addressing customer inquiries.
• Oversee a portfolio of both litigated and non-litigated cases.
• Assess and review auto insurance claims to pinpoint areas of contention, investigate and compile all necessary information and documentation pertaining to the claim, evaluate liability and damages associated with the claim, and negotiate and resolve claims with opposing parties or their insurance providers.
• Ensure adherence to specific state regulations, policy provisions, and standard operating procedures.
• Handle both non-litigation and litigation cases concerning auto claims disputes, maintain communication with involved parties, attend mediations, arbitrations, and court hearings as required, and engage regularly with clients, claims adjusters, attorneys, and other stakeholders.
• Collaborate with defense counsel, claims counsel, and litigation claims management for strategic planning, including developing and nurturing positive working relationships with approved defense firms and other industry vendors.
• Review legal documents to ensure compliance with the initial suit-handling action plan.
• Act as a corporate representative for discovery review and depositions, appearing as a Corporate Representative at depositions and trials when necessary.
• Analyze policy language to reach appropriate coverage decisions, draft coverage correspondence, and proactively manage non-litigated and litigated claim files from inception to resolution.
• Direct and oversee the activities and costs associated with outside vendors, including defense counsel, coverage counsel, experts, and independent adjusters.
• Maintain adjuster licenses and fulfill continuing education requirements.
• Bachelor's degree (however, candidates lacking a degree are encouraged to apply if they meet all other qualifications).
• Experience with Ride Share (or TNC/Livery) is mandatory.
• A minimum of 3 years of focused experience in rideshare claims adjusting, ideally encompassing:
• Commercial auto exposures.
• Both attorney-represented and unrepresented claims.
• Third-party bodily injury, including catastrophic losses.
• UM/UIM bodily injury.
• Litigation experience.
• PIP experience is a plus, but not essential.
• Familiarity with state regulations, policy provisions, and standard operating procedures.
• Willingness to travel as required for client and claims needs.
• An active adjuster license is required: a resident state license if available; otherwise, a Designated Home State (DHS) license, with a commitment to obtain all necessary licenses within 60 days, including completion of state-mandated testing.
