Board Member – Academic Construction Workforce Intelligence

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Offer strategic direction on workforce intelligence methodologies, frameworks for interpreting labor markets, and systems for measuring the construction workforce.

• Provide insights on labor dashboards, compensation indices, hiring pressure models, and workforce forecasting structures.

• Assist in the creation of research papers, whitepapers, executive briefings, and publications related to workforce intelligence.

• Engage in periodic advisory conversations centered on labor shortages, operational workforce pressures, and trends within the construction market.

• Aid in validating the operational interpretation of workforce signals and regional labor market information.

• Counsel on statistical modeling, benchmarking frameworks, and initiatives for longitudinal workforce analysis.

• Support AlphaHire in enhancing the academic rigor and credibility of its labor intelligence ecosystem.

• Work alongside executive advisors and industry professionals to connect workforce research with real-world challenges in construction execution.

• Provide thought leadership in areas such as workforce development, labor economics, operational planning, and the transformation of the construction industry.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in construction management education, labor economics, workforce research, operations research, or similar disciplines.

• Proven experience in conducting workforce studies, labor analysis, market research, or operational intelligence projects.

• Strong grasp of construction labor markets, workforce planning, compensation dynamics, or operational workforce challenges.

• Familiarity with data interpretation, research methodologies, forecasting models, or workforce analytics is preferred.

• Previous experience in publication, speaking engagements, advisory roles, or institutional research is highly desirable.

• Ability to provide strategic insights beyond merely theoretical commentary.

• Experience working collaboratively with industry stakeholders, executive teams, or operational leadership groups is preferred.

• Exposure to the construction industry is strongly preferred; unrelated academic backgrounds may not align with the council’s objectives.
