
Blockchain Security Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of blockchain security engineers.
• Establish and enhance the blockchain security strategy and roadmap.
• Act as a trusted security partner for product, protocol, and infrastructure teams.
• Oversee threat modeling and architecture evaluations for on-chain systems.
• Conduct and guide security reviews and audits of smart contracts (Solidity, Rust/Solana) and backend services, along with supporting infrastructure.
• Create and implement reusable security controls, patterns, and reference architectures.
• Assist in the secure deployment of cloud-native infrastructures (containers, Kubernetes).
• Investigate emerging blockchain threats, exploits, and mitigations, translating them into actionable controls.
• Advocate for the thoughtful integration of AI to enhance team performance and business results.
• Utilize AI tools (e.g., generative AI, automation platforms, data copilots) to boost productivity, decision-making, and output quality in daily operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Over 10 years of experience in security software engineering.
• More than 5 years of experience with blockchain technologies.
• At least 5 years of experience in smart contract security across various chains.
• Proven experience in leading or mentoring a small, highly technical team.
• Published research on vulnerabilities/security issues within the Web3 community.
• Proficiency in secure SDLC, threat modeling, and application architecture reviews.
• Conduct multi-agent code reviews for vulnerabilities using frontier models.
• Strong secure coding practices and comprehensive code review skills.
• In-depth familiarity with smart contracts (Solidity, Rust), cloud-native environments (Docker, Kubernetes), authentication and authorization, TLS/PKI, and cloud, infrastructure, and network security.
• Clear and confident communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to balance hands-on execution with strategic oversight; detail-oriented, pragmatic, and adept at problem-solving in ambiguous situations.
