This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities within the Biopharma Production Business.
• Offer technical expertise to sales representatives and clients throughout the sales journey.
• Provide technical sales support at customer locations or across multiple sites.
• Address and resolve technical product and service challenges.
• Assist clients during the sales process to optimize the benefits of Avantor products and services.
• Advocate for Avantor’s Fluid Handling and High Purity Chemicals value proposition in bioprocessing.
• Support the biopharma account management team with technical presentations and a consultative sales methodology.
• Create customer-specific Single Use products and solutions in collaboration with technical end users.
• Cultivate and maintain customer business relationships and brand loyalty.
• Collaborate with sales management to drive revenue growth in Fluid Handling and Production Chemicals.
• Coordinate the efforts of sales, account management, and product management teams to effectively manage and exploit customer opportunities.
• Identify and spearhead the development or refinement of custom manufacturing opportunities.
• Conduct senior-level presentations to end customers.
• Utilize the CRM system for consistent reporting and information sharing.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Life Sciences, Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Engineering, or a related scientific field.
• A Master’s degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in biopharmaceutical manufacturing or sales to the biopharma sector.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Teams.
• Experience with CRM systems is preferred.
• Experience in key account sales and management is preferred.
• A proven track record of meeting sales targets is preferred.
• Experience in managing a sales pipeline is preferred.
• Experience in formulating and executing territory and account strategies is preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% is expected.
