Bioinformatics Production Analyst – Production Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Conduct analysis of high-throughput DNA sequencing data and execute fundamental data assessments to aid in product development.

• Assist in progressing data through the analytical pipeline and implement enhancements.

• Identify and resolve technical challenges associated with data quality and system integration.

• Effectively communicate with cross-functional teams.

• Create high-quality written documentation, including technical reports.

• Manage Protected Health Information (PHI) in accordance with established protocols.

• Complete the necessary HIPAA/PHI privacy training within the first 30 days of employment.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or a related field.

• A minimum of 2 years of pertinent professional experience.

• Preferred experience in using Python for data analysis and visualization.

• Preferred familiarity with Linux command-line tools and relational databases (SQL).

• Required knowledge of genomics, relevant NGS analyses (such as mapping, variant calling, etc.), and NGS file formats.

• Capability to produce high-quality written documentation.

• Understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs).
