Binding Operations Associate – Transportation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Review and process bind requests to ensure that they are handled accurately and in a timely manner.

• Validate application data against entries in the carrier system and update information as necessary to maintain accuracy and completeness.

• Bind coverage through carrier platforms following underwriting directives and carrier guidelines.

• Complete all necessary filings and documentation as part of the binding process.

• Confirm that all binding documentation complies with quality standards and regulatory requirements.

• Collaborate with underwriters, retail agents, and carrier representatives to facilitate binding operations.

• Address inquiries regarding binding status, requirements, and any discrepancies.

• Communicate effectively and professionally to resolve issues and prevent delays in the binding process.

• Manage the workload of assigned bind requests to meet service level expectations and turnaround times.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, carrier guidelines, and regulatory standards.

• Identify inconsistencies or data-related issues and implement appropriate corrective measures.

• Assist in onboarding and training new team members on binding workflows and systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in insurance operations, underwriting support, or a similar role.

• Familiarity with transportation insurance or the capacity to quickly grasp transportation-specific workflows.

• Experience in a centralized processing or shared services environment is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on data accuracy and quality control.

• Proven problem-solving capabilities and the ability to handle escalated or complex tasks.

• Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.

• Capability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Teams, and OneNote is beneficial.
