Billing Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Lead and manage all billing functions, ensuring that invoicing to Sponsors is accurate, timely, and compliant with the billing schedule, contract terms, and sponsor requirements.

• Review and authorize new sales orders and change orders entered in Netsuite, ensuring that billing terms are clear and the sales order setup supports timely and precise billing.

• Evaluate credit requests and produce credit notes in the accounting system, ensuring accuracy and proper authorization.

• Supervise month-end billing closure activities, including the preparation and review of billing summary reports, variance analysis, and escalation of unresolved issues to project managers.

• Lead, mentor, and develop the billings team, promoting a high-performance culture through training and performance management.

• Establish and uphold billing controls, policies, and standard operating procedures to guarantee accuracy, consistency, and ongoing improvement in all billing operations.

• Proactively seek ways to enhance automation within the billing function.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Project Managers and Finance teams to ensure prompt invoice preparation, issue resolution, and alignment on contract terms and deliverables.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree with over 8 years of progressive experience in Finance operations, including Accounts Receivable and Billings.

• Advanced Excel capabilities with strong data analysis skills.

• Experience with NetSuite is preferable.

• Detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on accuracy in all delivered work.

• Ability to meet deadlines and fulfill commitments.
