This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Calculate, prepare, and issue documents related to accounts including bills, invoices, account statements, and various financial statements.
• Compile budget data and documents based on projected revenues and expenses as well as historical budgets.
• Prepare periodic cost statements or reports.
• Address customer inquiries, foster positive customer relations, and resolve issues.
• Perform related clerical tasks, such as word processing, maintaining filing and record systems, faxing, and photocopying.
• Execute billing responsibilities, including the preparation of invoices.
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of billing invoices.
• Act as the primary customer contact for billing inquiries.
• Maintain relevant files and documentation.
• Suggest payment arrangements for overdue customer balances.
• Generate reports, letters, and other correspondence as required.
• Input billing data into profit/loss reports, balance sheets, income statements, and other documentation.
• Collect necessary information for billing purposes, as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Post-secondary education in Accounting or Business Administration is considered an asset.
• Enrollment in the CPA program is viewed as a benefit.
• A combination of education and experience will be taken into account.
• Several years of experience in billing or accounts payable/receivable roles within service or manufacturing industries is preferred but not mandatory.
• Comprehensive understanding of general accounting practices.
• General knowledge of provincial and federal sales taxes (RST/PST/GST).
• Familiarity with accounting ERP systems.
• Experience with Business Central or Navision is considered beneficial.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and periodic, unannounced random drug tests.
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
