Bilingual Registered Nurse, English/Spanish – Full-Time, Triage

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +13 more states.

📋 Description

• Handle both inbound and outbound calls for a nurse triage service operating across multiple states.

• Apply Schmitt-Thompson telephone triage protocols to evaluate and prioritize patient needs.

• Accurately record patient interactions in client EHR systems and/or the Call 4 Health platform.

• Conduct clinical assessments via phone or patient portal in accordance with established protocols.

• Assist providers with various administrative and clinical tasks, which include:

• - Processing medication refill requests following protocol.

• - Notifying providers of critical test results.

• - Coordinating post-discharge and post-operative follow-ups.

• - Facilitating referrals and aiding with prior authorization requests that necessitate clinical input.

• Work collaboratively with hospitals, nursing homes, funeral homes, and governmental agencies as required.

• Engage in Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) initiatives, which involve:

• - Monitoring vital signs.

• - Providing education to patients on chronic disease management (diabetes, hypertension, COPD).

• Assess and qualify patients for clinical trials while delivering patient education.

• Assume additional responsibilities to foster team success and enhance patient outcomes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.

• 2–4 years of full-time RN clinical experience, ideally in ER/Urgent Care, Adult, Pediatric, Ambulatory Care, or ICU settings.

• Previous experience in telephone triage utilizing electronic triage systems.

• Familiarity with two or more EHR platforms.

• Active, unencumbered e-NCL / Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact license.

• Openness to obtaining additional state licenses as needed.
