BI Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Develop and enhance Power BI solutions utilizing advanced DAX, encompassing measures, time intelligence, and performance optimization strategies.

• Design and uphold data models grounded in robust data modeling principles (star schema, relationships, cardinality).

• Write and verify SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.

• Construct and maintain reporting solutions using Power BI, which includes dashboards, dataflows, reusable templates, and Paginated Reports.

• Apply performance optimization techniques, including incremental refresh and management of large datasets.

• Establish and oversee Row-Level Security (RLS) to ensure controlled data access.

• Integrate Power BI solutions with cloud and data engineering platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric.

• Collaborate across Development, Testing, and Production environments while adhering to appropriate deployment workflows.

• Utilize Git for version control, incorporating branching, pull requests, and deployment processes.

• Create clear technical and business-oriented documentation for reports, models, and solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

• Extensive experience in Power BI development and DAX.

• Strong grasp of data modeling principles and SQL.

• Experience with data warehouses and cloud data platforms.

• Familiarity with Power BI performance optimization, incremental refresh, and handling large datasets.

• Experience with Power BI Dataflows, Paginated Reports, and reusable templates.

• Proven experience in implementing Row-Level Security (RLS).

• Proficient in using Git and operating within Dev/Test/Prod environments.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric and the Microsoft Power Platform.

• **Preferred / Desirable:**

• Experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.

• Experience with DBT (Data Build Tool).

• Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as React and jQuery.

• Relevant certifications such as:

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate.

• Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate (Power BI).
