This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• You will serve as the primary contact for inquiries from both potential and existing members regarding their health and various financial benefits.
• Additionally, you will assist retirees and current employees with inquiries related to pension plans, enrollment, and processing payouts.
• This position integrates phone-based administrative support with customer service, helping members navigate multiple systems to deliver precise benefits information.
• You may also provide support through outbound calls as needed.
• Accurately record enrollment requests, status modifications, complaints, and grievances.
• Input application and enrollment details into a web-based system for customers when necessary.
• Maintain proficiency in technical and program policies in accordance with client rules/guidelines and related program policies.
• Deliver clear, complete, accurate, and objective information based on a comprehensive understanding of program requirements.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Capability to successfully pass a criminal background check.
• Prior experience in customer service and/or call center roles.
• Ideal candidates will have previous experience and knowledge of pension plans or a defined benefit skill set.
• Proficiency in MS Office and keyboarding skills.
• Must pass an internet speed test (download speed equal to or greater than 25 Mbps, upload speed equal to or greater than 5 Mbps, and Ping less than or equal to 175 ms).
• Ability to connect to a modem/router via an ethernet cable is required.
• Strong ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with applicants, beneficiaries, and colleagues.
• Capable of solving problems through analysis and ongoing feedback.
