
Behavioral Health Technician – Active Secret Clearance Required

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver behavioral healthcare, counseling, case management, and clinical support services to Special Operations Forces personnel and their families.
• Enhance the psychological, social, and operational readiness of Service Members.
• Participate in professional meetings, quality improvement sessions, staff gatherings, commander’s staff meetings, and other required assemblies.
• Conduct applied research and clinical investigations approved by USSOCOM/POTFF.
• Utilize interviewing, behavioral assessment, and evidence-based therapies for evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment purposes.
• Offer individual, family, group, and couples therapy, in addition to evaluations for alcohol and drug treatment.
• Collaborate with medical personnel, legal authorities, military commanders, and school districts.
• Engage in military-specific training and activities, including pre- and post-deployment screenings, PTSD, and combat stress activities.
• Reach out to referred clients to evaluate their treatment adherence.
• Employ validated symptom inventories to assess the severity of symptoms.
• Identify barriers to treatment adherence and assist clients in finding solutions.
• Provide education to clients regarding mental health conditions and their treatment plans.
• Maintain client information in a client registry.
• Collaborate on challenging cases with referring providers, behavioral health consultants, and psychiatry consultants.
• Execute case management duties.
• Offer clinical supervision to unlicensed providers or trainees, as applicable.
• Ensure required documentation is maintained in approved systems and support program requirements.
• Manage a team of employees and foster a high-performance culture.
• Ensure sufficient staff coverage for the designated program area.
• Act as a subject matter expert in a specified program knowledge area.
• Ensure the assigned team fulfills contract obligations and individual SLAs.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency in contract management and shared services.
• Attend client and stakeholder meetings as necessary.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, technical training, or relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• At least two years of relevant experience.
• A current LCSW or LMSW license valid in the state of practice is required.
• Must comply with credentialing and privileging standards under Defense Health Agency-Procedures Manual 6025.13.
• Experience in brief behavioral interventions is essential.
• Minimum of two years of peer-reviewable clinical work experience in a mental health setting.
• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
• Active U.S. Government Secret security clearance is required, or eligibility to obtain and maintain one as necessary for contract performance.
• This position is contingent upon contract award.
• Experience in a government environment, such as the Department of Defense or Department of Veterans Affairs Military Treatment Facility, is preferred.
• Experience in supporting military, Special Operations, behavioral health, or human performance settings is preferred.
• Experience in collaborating with interdisciplinary clinical teams, commanders, and operational leadership is preferred.
• Reliable high-speed internet service is required: minimum 20 Mbps download/50 Mbps for shared connectivity and 5 Mbps upload.
