This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver behavioral healthcare, counseling, case management, and clinical support services to Special Operations Forces personnel and their families.

• Enhance the psychological, social, and operational readiness of Service Members.

• Work in collaboration with interdisciplinary care teams, medical staff, legal authorities, commanders, schools, and other stakeholders.

• Oversee a team of professionals while fostering a high-performance environment.

• Ensure adequate staff coverage within the assigned program area.

• Act as a subject matter expert in a designated program knowledge area.

• Guarantee that the team meets contractual obligations, individual SLAs, and associated requirements.

• Identify opportunities for improvement and efficiencies in contract management and shared services.

• Attend meetings involving clients, stakeholders, professional staff, quality improvement, and commanders' staff.

• Conduct approved applied research and clinical investigations.

• Utilize interviewing, behavioral assessments, and evidence-based therapies to evaluate, diagnose, and treat psychological and neuropsychological disorders.

• Provide therapy for individuals, families, groups, and couples, as well as conduct alcohol and drug treatment evaluations.

• Consult with medical staff, legal authorities, military commanders, and school districts.

• Engage in military-specific training and activities, including pre- and post-deployment screenings, PTSD, and combat stress activities.

• Reach out to referred clients to evaluate adherence to treatment.

• Employ validated symptom inventories to assess the severity of symptoms.

• Identify barriers to treatment adherence and assist clients in finding solutions.

• Educate clients about their mental health conditions and treatment plans.

• Maintain client information in a client registry.

• Collaborate with referring providers and behavioral health or psychiatry consultants on challenging cases.

• Carry out case management responsibilities.

• Provide clinical supervision to unlicensed providers or trainees, as necessary.

• Keep required documentation in approved systems and support program specifications.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, technical training, or relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

• At least two years of related experience.

• Current LCSW or LMSW with a valid license in the state of practice is required.

• Master’s or doctoral degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, or professional counseling with applicable licensure and/or certification.

• Social Work pathway necessitates a CSWE-accredited program and independent clinical licensure such as LCSW or equivalent.

• Marriage and Family Therapy pathway requires a COAMFTE-accredited program or equivalent qualifying graduate program and a clinical membership credential from AAMFT.

• Professional Counseling pathway necessitates an accredited graduate program, independent-level professional counseling licensure, and successful completion of the NCMHCE or equivalent Defense Health Agency-approved examination.

• Must fulfill credentialing and privileging standards under Defense Health Agency-Procedures Manual 6025.13.

• Experience in brief behavioral interventions.

• A minimum of two years of peer-reviewable clinical work experience in a mental health setting.

• Active Secret clearance is required at a minimum.

• Preferred: experience in a government setting such as DoW or Department of Veterans Affairs Military Treatment Facility.

• Preferred: experience supporting military, Special Operations, behavioral health, or human performance environments.

• Preferred: experience working with interdisciplinary clinical teams, commanders, and operational leadership.
