This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Hampshire, +1 more state.
β’ Oversee the daily management of a portfolio consisting of active bankruptcy loans.
β’ Monitor and organize member bankruptcy filings, including the completion and submission of required legal documents.
β’ Suggest strategies for addressing bankrupt accounts.
β’ Collaborate with members and bankruptcy trustees to ascertain or reaffirm account status.
β’ Coordinate with attorneys as needed to address issues.
β’ Attend bankruptcy hearings and other legal proceedings, representing DCU as necessary.
β’ Keep updated on bankruptcy laws and regulations.
β’ Analyze and interpret all legal documents, motions, dockets, loan agreements, and more.
β’ Prior experience as a paralegal or knowledge of creditor-side Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy is highly preferred.
β’ Previous experience in consumer, default, or bankruptcy matters, including handling legal documents, is preferred.
β’ Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
β’ Capacity to manage multiple tasks and adhere to critical deadlines while ensuring accuracy and quality.
β’ Highly organized with effective time management skills, capable of prioritizing and managing workload for maximum efficiency.
β’ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially in Microsoft Excel.
β’ Candidates must reside in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, or Connecticut.
