This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
β’ We are seeking a committed Assessment Specialist to join our bank staff as part of the Specialist Weight Management Service (SWMS) to meet the growing demand for our services.
β’ This position is currently a 3-month fixed-term bank contract, with the possibility of extension based on service requirements.
β’ The main responsibility of this role will be to perform assessments for patients entering our service.
β’ Assessments are conducted via video call and entail collecting detailed patient information to guide clinical decision-making and determine the most suitable intervention pathway.
β’ Where necessary, some assessments will also encompass risk evaluations for suicidal ideation/self-harm.
β’ You will collaborate within a forward-thinking multi-disciplinary team (MDT) that comprises doctors, dietitians, psychologists, and physical activity specialists, all specializing in obesity.
β’ This is a flexible, part-time role with an immediate start, perfect for those eager to support a high-demand service and create a significant impact while gaining experience in a pioneering startup environment.
β’ You possess experience in a weight management, bariatric, eating disorder, or mental health setting.
β’ Proficiency in conducting initial assessments and consultations to establish intervention pathways, including risk evaluations for suicidal ideation/self-harm.
β’ A strong comprehension of obesity as a condition and the challenges faced by individuals living with obesity, including weight stigma.
β’ You are capable of working both independently and collaboratively with a doctor-led multi-disciplinary team (MDT) to ensure accurate patient assessments and appropriate intervention pathway allocations.
β’ You will confidently and independently handle a caseload of patients for assessment, escalate pertinent issues, and collaborate effectively with our MDT.
β’ You are dynamic with a strong motivation to work in an innovative digital healthcare service.
