This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Albania.
• Analyze project requirements and collaborate to identify and select the most effective implementation strategies in WordPress.
• Create and integrate custom themes and functionalities by enhancing WordPress (including custom fields, custom post types, taxonomies, and widgets) and develop custom modules as necessary for the project.
• Implement e-commerce features, primarily using WooCommerce, by performing configuration, customization, and extension.
• Integrate third-party libraries and frameworks for complex projects, and interact with external web services via APIs as needed.
• Contribute to front-end development by implementing aspects of the UI/UX design elements and connecting the front-end and back-end components of the software.
• Optimize code and the final product focusing on performance through best practices and WordPress-specific optimization techniques.
• Assist in enhancing other aspects of the final product, such as cross-responsiveness, security, SEO, and more.
• Support the management and operation of the fully optimized WordPress setup regarding configuration, monitoring, maintenance, updates, and providing training and troubleshooting assistance for clients and colleagues.
• At least 3 years of professional development experience in a work environment and/or with projects.
• Strong expertise and skills in both front-end and back-end essential web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and SQL.
• Proficient PHP programming skills are mandatory.
• Comprehensive knowledge of WordPress as a platform and substantial experience in WordPress development is essential.
• Background in creating custom WordPress themes, structures, and modules, along with advanced configuration and optimization experience.
• Experience in e-commerce development, particularly with WooCommerce.
• Commitment to writing efficient code that conforms to WordPress coding standards.
• Familiarity with HTML5, CSS3, the latest versions of JS, AJAX implementation, and MySQL.
• Experience with common front-end libraries and frameworks such as Bootstrap and jQuery.
• Knowledge of tools like reputable WordPress starter themes (e.g., underscores.me) and frameworks (like Genesis) is a plus.
• Practical experience with version control and code management tools, such as Git and related tools.
• Ability to apply strong logic, good programming skills, and solid computer science principles to produce high-quality code.
• Willingness to contribute to any related phases of the production process as project demands evolve.
• Awareness and understanding of the modern web development industry, along with common challenges and solutions.
