Backend Team Lead, Ruby on Rails

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

• You provide guidance and collaborate with your teammates to develop robust, highly optimized software.

• You prototype, conceptualize, and enhance backend services for both web and mobile applications.

• You evaluate your teammates’ code to ensure high quality and foster continuous learning.

• You leverage AI tools to enhance development efficiency while maintaining code quality.

• You guarantee that all development is cutting-edge, easy to maintain, and user-friendly.

• You mentor others by imparting best practices in coding and tooling.

• You assist in the introduction of new technologies and methodologies.

• You collaborate with international teams, including colleagues in project management, support, development, QA, and design, to achieve company-wide objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• You possess over 7 years of experience in web application development.

• You have been programming in Ruby on Rails for more than 5 years.

• You have experience leading teams of at least 5 developers for over 3 years.

• You have excellent knowledge of PostgreSQL or another SQL database system.

• You have considerable experience in building and consuming JSON APIs.

• You are passionate about creating automated tests using RSpec.

• You are familiar with Git and Git-based workflows, including GitHub code reviews.

• You can balance maintainability, security, performance, and flexibility.

• You are a true team leader who enjoys proactively sharing knowledge.

• You demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility and ownership.

• You possess strong autonomy, self-discipline, and the ability to self-educate.

• You are fluent in English.
