Backend Team Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the backend technical direction and architecture for product development.

• Create scalable technical solutions that meet both product and business requirements.

• Collaborate as part of a cross-functional product team, developing solutions in conjunction with Product and Engineering.

• Assume responsibility for product outcomes beyond just backend implementation.

• Guide backend engineering execution, focusing on team organization and people management.

• Ensure the reliability, stability, and operational health of backend services.

• Enhance and advance engineering practices and development processes.

• Integrate AI tools into development workflows to boost productivity and engineering efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in backend engineering, with a minimum of 2 years in a Lead or Tech Lead position.

• Demonstrated experience in product development.

• Proven track record of working within cross-functional product teams.

• Strong backend engineering skills, particularly in building production systems (Python/FastAPI preferred).

• Excellent architecture and solution design abilities.

• Experience in designing APIs, integrations, and scalable services.

• Familiarity with modern backend infrastructure, including databases (MongoDB), caching, cloud services, and deployment tools.

• Practical experience employing AI-assisted or agentic development workflows in real software delivery (e.g., code generation, context-driven development, AI coding agents, or workflow automation), rather than just basic chatbot usage.

• Capability to balance delivery speed with long-term technical sustainability.
