Backend Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Design and create scalable backend services utilizing Python and Django, concentrating on our primary financial products.

• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs that serve our customer-facing applications and internal tools.

• Construct robust data models and database schemas to bolster our financial services infrastructure.

• Produce clean, testable code accompanied by comprehensive unit and integration tests.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute new features and enhancements.

• Enhance application performance and guarantee high availability of our services.

• Engage in code reviews and contribute to the compilation of technical documentation.

• Oversee and maintain production systems, ensuring their reliability and security.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 5 years of professional experience in backend development using Python.

• Strong expertise in Django or other Python API frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask.

• Familiarity with SQL databases, preferably PostgreSQL, and ORM frameworks.

• Understanding of API design principles and microservices architecture.

• Experience with AWS or other similar cloud platforms.

• Solid grasp of version control using Git.

• Experience utilizing testing frameworks like pytest or unittest.

• Awareness of security best practices and data protection measures.

• Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.

• Exceptional communication skills with a proven history of successful teamwork.
