Backend Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and develop infrastructure, data models, features, and comprehensive systems for API creation, while maintaining the codebase to address customer challenges.

• Compose well-structured, testable code to ensure systems are efficient, optimized, scalable, and dependable.

• Create software testing, validation procedures, and associated documentation.

• Guarantee that Common Room’s core internal capabilities, infrastructure, and machine learning systems meet the needs of both customers and our team.

• Analyze, troubleshoot, and devise systems and straightforward, elegant solutions while taking into account observability, service level agreements (SLA), and scalability.

• Oversee relational database applications.

• Leverage tools such as AWS, Postgres, and Node, alongside data technologies like Redshift, MongoDB, Docker, Redis, React, and TypeScript.

• Collaborate within the software development lifecycle and work alongside teammates in an agile planning setting.

• Engage in initiatives that contribute to company growth.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering or a related field, along with 2 years of experience as a Software Engineer or in a comparable role.

• Experience must encompass:

• - Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software systems and their features.

• - Modifying existing software to rectify errors and enhance performance.

• - Writing clean, efficient, and testable code.

• - Managing data storage, retrieval, and manipulation to assess software capabilities.

• - Utilizing tools including Typescript, React, Amazon Web Services, and Generative AI.

• - Optimizing performance for enhanced scalability and reliability.

• - Maintaining relational database applications while utilizing both relational and non-relational data structures.
