Backend Software Developer, PHP, Laravel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Turkey.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs utilizing Laravel in a modular monolith architecture.

• Create and improve multi-tenant SaaS features while ensuring proper data isolation and tenant-aware functionality.

• Produce clean, well-tested, and maintainable code adhering to Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles, including Entities, Repositories, Managers, and DTOs.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to introduce new features and continuously enhance existing functionalities.

• Engage in code reviews, offering constructive feedback and upholding high standards of code quality.

• Utilize code quality tools such as PHPStan, Rector, and Pint to ensure consistency and reliability of the codebase.

• Optimize database queries and implement caching strategies with Redis to boost performance.

• Diagnose and debug production issues, implementing robust and scalable solutions.

• Contribute to technical documentation and take part in architectural decisions.

• Utilize AI-powered development tools to enhance productivity and improve the quality of code.

⛳️ Requirements

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or a related discipline.

• Possess 3+ years of software development experience.

• Have strong practical experience with Laravel (essential); familiarity with Symfony is advantageous.

• Demonstrate solid PHP knowledge and experience with modern PHP practices (PHP 8.x features, strict types, readonly classes).

• Experience with package-driven development, modular monolith architecture, and Domain-Driven Design (DDD) patterns.

• Good understanding of MySQL and Redis; experience with Elasticsearch or other NoSQL technologies is a plus.

• Proficient with Git and familiar with Git workflows, including branching strategies, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience with code quality tools such as PHPStan, Rector, or similar static analysis tools.

• Proven experience contributing to large-scale projects and collaborating effectively within technical teams.

• Sufficient English proficiency to analyze and comprehend technical documentation.

• Experience with AI-powered development tools like Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar AI coding assistants. *(Nice to have)*

• Practical experience with AWS (EC2, S3, SQS, or similar services). *(Nice to have)*

• Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized development environments. *(Nice to have)*

• Familiarity with Vue.js or other modern frontend frameworks. *(Nice to have)*

• Interest in or exposure to Go (Golang), with a desire to deepen expertise. *(Nice to have)*

• Experience with multi-tenant SaaS architectures. *(Nice to have)*

• Familiarity with queue systems such as Laravel Horizon or Redis queues. *(Nice to have)*
