Backend Engineer – Telemetry

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Develop backend services for telemetry, device status, events, dashboards, and partner integrations.

• Create data models for machines, locations, users, events, statuses, diagnostics, and operational activities.

• Construct APIs for edge devices, internal tools, dashboards, and AI workflows.

• Implement event ingestion pipelines, as well as monitoring, alerting, and audit logging systems.

• Collaborate with embedded engineers on device-to-cloud communication protocols.

• Partner with product and business teams to identify the data required for demos, pilot programs, and customer reporting.

• Ensure security, reliability, observability, and scalability from the outset.

⛳️ Requirements

• Robust backend engineering experience.

• Proven experience in building production systems, APIs, databases, event pipelines, or telemetry platforms.

• Strong programming skills in TypeScript, Python, Go, Java, Kotlin, Rust, or similar languages.

• Familiarity with relational databases, time-series data, queues, event streaming, or cloud infrastructure.

• Knowledge of authentication, authorization, logging, monitoring, and secure system architecture.

• Proficiency in English is mandatory.

• Experience in IoT, fleet management, retail technology, payment-related systems, kiosks, robotics, or industrial systems.

• Background in high-volume event ingestion or real-time monitoring.

• Experience with dashboards, analytics, alerting, field-service tools, or operational reporting.

• Familiarity with transaction-like event flows, reconciliation, audit trails, or financial-grade data systems.
