Backend Engineer – Ruby on Rails

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• In the role of a Software Engineer, you will be part of a tech organization with over 250 members.

• Each engineer is assigned to a squad that focuses on a specific aspect of the product, reporting to either a Team Lead or an Engineering Manager.

• Each squad is equipped with all necessary skills to independently build features from start to finish, collaborating daily with a product manager, designer, and fellow software engineers.

• As a Software Engineer, you will engage in the discovery phase of projects alongside the Product Manager and Designer to outline the features to be developed; subsequently, you will collaborate with other engineers to design the software architecture, construct it, test it, and deploy it to production.

• The squad also provides ongoing support to customers by monitoring and resolving issues related to the features built.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess a minimum of 4 years of experience with Ruby on Rails.

• Demonstrate a well-rounded combination of technical, business, and product expertise.

• Exhibit empathy for users and a genuine desire to solve their real issues.

• Possess strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate your ideas.

• Be fluent in English (knowledge of French is not a requirement).

• Be a collaborative team player with experience in an agile working environment.
