Backend Engineer, Java – KYC Tech

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore.

📋 Description

• Engage with key stakeholders to transform business requirements into robust services with well-structured code and effective testing.

• Take the initiative in optimizing performance, resolving incidents, and other related tasks.

• Develop and uphold high-quality technical documentation.

• Produce high-quality code, adhere to best practices, and promote engineering excellence.

• Collaborate with other engineering teams and provide mentorship to junior team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent professional experience.

• At least 4 years of professional experience in developing high-throughput distributed applications.

• Strong proficiency in core Java and the Spring Framework.

• Skilled in MySQL, and familiar with at least one NoSQL database.

• Expertise in distributed system design, with knowledge of at least one messaging middleware and its foundational design principles.

• A fast learner capable of performing effectively under pressure.

• Ability to work collaboratively with a remote team across various time zones.
