Backend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Assist in the design, development, and implementation of features throughout the product lifecycle.

• Create clean and maintainable code for back-end systems hosted on AWS or GCP.

• Collaborate with specialists in AI and cryptography.

• Work alongside the product manager to comprehend requirements and aid the team in planning architecture, data flows, API specifications, and testing strategies.

• Adhere to established engineering practices and engage in team discussions focused on processes and quality assurance.

• Engage in customer-driven development and iterate based on user feedback.

• Develop automated tests for load, performance, and error handling.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of practical software engineering experience in back-end development.

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript coding.

• Experience with AWS in container services (EKS, ECS) and serverless architectures.

• Familiarity with relational, key/value, and graph databases, including schema management.

• Skills in API design, data modeling, secure service development, and database systems.

• A commitment to producing high-quality code, robust error handling, and ensuring high availability.

• A thoughtful and pragmatic approach to addressing technical challenges in a dynamic environment.

• At least an upper-intermediate level of proficiency in spoken and written English.
