Backend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of features throughout the product lifecycle.

• Write clean and maintainable code for back-end systems hosted on AWS or GCP.

• Collaborate with specialists in AI and cryptography.

• Partner with the product manager to comprehend requirements and assist the team in planning architecture, data flows, API specifications, and testing strategies.

• Adhere to established engineering practices and engage in team discussions regarding processes and quality.

• Participate in customer-driven development and iterate based on received feedback.

• Develop automated tests for load, performance, and error handling.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of practical software engineering experience in backend development.

• Proficient in TypeScript coding.

• Experience with AWS containers (EKS, ECS) and serverless systems.

• Knowledge of relational, key/value, and graph data stores, including schema management.

• Experience in API design, data modeling, secure service development, and database systems.

• Strong focus on quality code, error handling, and high availability.

• A thoughtful and pragmatic approach to resolving technical challenges in a fast-paced environment.

• At least an upper-intermediate level of spoken and written English.
