This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

• Design, develop, and maintain our backend systems.

• Supervise the development and upkeep of our GraphQL API, ensuring it effectively serves the frontend clients' requirements.

• Manage deployments within a Kubernetes environment on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).

• Guarantee the reliability and scalability of our applications.

• Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and QA to deliver high-quality features.

• Enhance communication and teamwork across the organization.

• Proactively generate and implement product enhancements based on business objectives and user needs.

• Promote an inclusive work atmosphere, effectively collaborating with team members from various cultural backgrounds.

• Over 5 years of experience in backend engineering.

• Expertise in Ruby; familiarity with functional programming patterns is highly advantageous.

• Advanced knowledge of SQL and PostgreSQL.

• Experience in developing GraphQL APIs.

• Comfortable with DevOps practices, including deployments, Kubernetes, and GCP.

• AI-native; you actively integrate AI tools (such as Claude, Cursor, etc.) into your daily development practices as a core aspect of your workflow.

• Proficient in written and spoken English (C1+ level).

• Product-oriented, proactive, and able to work effectively across different cultures.

• Experience with Roda, Sequel, or dry-rb is a significant plus.

• Background in e-commerce, creator economy, or marketplace products is highly beneficial.
