Backend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Develop the distributed systems, APIs, and AI agent infrastructure that drive AI-powered enterprise execution.

• Design and scale backend services that coordinate agents, enforce business rules, and integrate thoroughly with ERPs and financial systems.

• Create resilient systems with strong assurances regarding idempotency, retries, and failure management.

• Construct and maintain robust APIs utilized by AI services, frontend applications, and external systems.

• Implement orchestration logic that synchronizes AI agents, human operators, and enterprise systems.

• Design systems with enterprise-level reliability, monitoring, and alerting capabilities.

• Optimize backend systems for performance, throughput, and cost-effectiveness.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant experience in developing production backend systems.

• Strong expertise in Python, NodeJS, Go, or other similar backend programming languages.

• Profound understanding of distributed systems, APIs and microservices, databases (both SQL and NoSQL), and message queues/event-driven architectures.

• Demonstrated experience in designing scalable, fault-tolerant systems.

• Solid comprehension of the trade-offs related to consistency, concurrency, and data integrity.

• Experience in developing workflow engines or state-driven systems is advantageous.

• Familiarity with financial systems, enterprise SaaS platforms, or handling sensitive/regulated data.

• Comfort in operating within environments where backend failures can significantly impact business operations.
