Backend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Capable of designing and developing scalable, high-performance backend systems and microservices.

• Experienced in architecting distributed systems that manage high concurrency and real-time traffic.

• Skilled in writing clean, maintainable, production-quality code.

• Proven ability to oversee end-to-end feature development, from initial design to deployment.

• Proficient in optimizing systems for enhanced performance, scalability, and reliability.

• Experienced in collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth releases.

• Actively participates in code reviews and architectural discussions.

• Capable of troubleshooting production issues and leading root cause analysis.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5-7 years of backend engineering experience in high-scale systems.

• Strong expertise in Java, Go, Node.js, or Python.

• Deep understanding of system design, data structures, and algorithms.

• Experience in building RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.

• Familiarity with relational and/or NoSQL databases.

• Experience working with distributed systems and high-concurrency environments.

• Solid understanding of caching mechanisms, queues, and asynchronous processing.

• Experience with cloud environments, preferably AWS.

• Strong debugging capabilities and performance optimization skills.

• Experience in real-money gaming or high-traffic consumer platforms is preferred.

• Familiarity with event-driven architecture (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ) is preferred.

• Understanding of Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.

• Knowledge of CI/CD practices and DevOps workflows is preferred.

• Exposure to system observability and monitoring tools is preferred.
