Backend Engineer – Apps Team

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belgium.

📋 Description

• Take ownership and deliver backend features from inception to completion.

• Spearhead the architecture and advancement of EPI’s cloud-based microservices.

• Establish and maintain high standards for code quality.

• Provide backend expertise to actively support mobile engineers.

• Guide backend platform decisions with a comprehensive understanding of current product needs.

• Discover opportunities to enhance backend reliability and accelerate delivery speed.

• Work collaboratively with mobile engineers and cross-functional teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of professional experience in software development.

• A minimum of 5 years dedicated to back-end development.

• Demonstrated experience in constructing scalable system architectures.

• Familiarity with contemporary design patterns and REST API design.

• Capability to identify and implement effective automated testing.

• Expertise in key backend technologies such as Kotlin, Ktor, Docker, AWS, and MongoDB.

• Experience working within Agile methodologies.
