Backend Engineer, AI Security

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Develop security frameworks that are integrated with our core AI infrastructure.

• Create and implement safeguards against AI-specific threats such as prompt injection and jailbreaks.

• Work in collaboration with other engineering teams to ensure that Stripe's AI infrastructure and products are built with security in mind.

• Assist other engineering teams in the integration of security measures.

• Maintain our high engineering standards while enhancing our codebase and processes.

• Design and construct systems that help establish cutting-edge practices in AI security.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software development.

• Proven ability to design and develop medium to large-scale projects independently.

• Experience collaborating effectively across various engineering teams.

• Proficient in writing high-quality code in a primary programming language.

• Capable of driving clear next steps in ambiguous situations.

• Ability to think innovatively and reason effectively within complex problem domains.

• Experience in developing, deploying, and maintaining reliable infrastructure systems.

• Background in security engineering.

• Experience in building AI agents or systems based on large language models (LLMs).
