Backend Engineer – AI Focus

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• You will be engaged in developing AI-driven systems that address genuine business challenges, merging code, APIs, and AI tools to craft dependable and scalable solutions.

• Construct and implement AI-driven workflows and backend infrastructures.

• Create solutions that integrate APIs, scripts, and AI agents.

• Collaborate with internal teams to grasp challenges and translate them into technical solutions.

• Quickly prototype — while also enhancing and solidifying systems over time.

• Optimize solutions (e.g., minimize token usage, enhance performance).

• Troubleshoot and modify systems when issues arise unexpectedly.

• Maintain documentation of your work and articulate your thought process clearly.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong programming fundamentals (Python is preferred).

• Proficient in working with APIs and constructing integrations.

• Capable of creating solutions without solely depending on AI tools.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities — you can deconstruct and reason through issues.

• Effective communication skills — you can convey what you have built and the rationale behind it.

• A sense of curiosity and ownership — you enjoy discovering solutions rather than merely following directives.

• Experience in building backend systems, scripts, or APIs.

• Involvement in projects where you integrated code with AI (beyond just using prompting tools).

• A solid understanding of how systems operate at a fundamental level (not just utilizing them).

• Experience in debugging or enhancing existing systems.

• Nice to have (but not a primary focus): Familiarity with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, etc.).

• Exposure to automation tools (Zapier, Make, n8n).

• Experience with data pipelines, web scraping, or workflow automation.
