Backend Developer, C#/C++

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Play an active role in the development and improvement of our backend software solutions for Opus::L.

• Revamp our system architecture by integrating and enhancing core components, including connecting to ActiveMQ, replacing existing CORBA structures, and implementing modern REST services.

• Collaborate with other backend technologies and scripting languages utilized in the product environment, particularly TCL and Shell/Bash scripting.

• Assist in the technical development and continuously optimize the software.

• Analyze requirements and collaborate closely with product management.

• Implement and test new features with an emphasis on quality, performance, and usability.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and maintain existing software components.

• Document developed solutions and technical processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science or completed vocational training as an IT specialist (or equivalent).

• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a backend developer.

• Exceptional knowledge of C++ and C#.

• Strong experience with modern frameworks such as .NET (>5), ASP.NET, Qt, Boost, the C++ Standard Library (C++20/23), and C++ idioms like RAII and smart pointers.

• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation, preferably with GitHub or similar platforms.

• Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker).

• Hands-on experience with cloud environments, preferably AWS Cloud Services.

• Knowledge of Clean Code principles.

• Understanding of Test Driven Development, unit tests, integration tests, and common testing frameworks.
