Backend Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Development and upkeep of backend services utilizing Java or Kotlin.

• Creation of RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints for both web and mobile applications.

• Design and enhancement of a microservices architecture to ensure scalability and high performance.

• Work with both relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra).

• Maintain code quality through unit tests, integration tests, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Collaborate effectively with frontend developers, DevOps, and product teams.

• Analyze and troubleshoot production issues as they arise.

• Engage in continuous learning regarding Java, Kotlin, and backend technologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient knowledge of Java (8+) and/or Kotlin for backend development.

• Experience with the Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Security).

• Familiarity with RESTful API design, OpenAPI/Swagger, and API security (JWT, OAuth2).

• Understanding of microservices architecture and Docker.

• Knowledge of database design, SQL, and ORM tools (Hibernate, JPA, Exposed for Kotlin).

• Experience with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ) for event-driven architectures.

• Proficiency in Git, Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices (CI/CD, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).

• Strong analytical skills along with the ability to write clean, maintainable code.
