Backend Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• You will develop Java Enterprise applications and design domain models (Entities, Aggregates, Value Objects).

• You will implement REST APIs, including DTO mapping, Factory/Builder patterns, and message-based communication (e.g., JMS, Kafka, RabbitMQ).

• You will plan and execute integrations with our Managed Services.

• You will create reactive Java applications using Vert.x and implement event-driven architectures and asynchronous processes.

• You will implement microservices in Go (REST/HTTP or gRPC APIs) and expand our Kubernetes environments with Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs) as needed.

• You will ensure quality through unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests.

⛳️ Requirements

• Substantial experience in developing Java Enterprise applications.

• Proficient with Quarkus / Spring Boot Framework and/or Jakarta EE.

• Experience with JPA/Hibernate and optionally using mapping frameworks like MapStruct for efficient DTO mapping.

• Experience with reactive Java frameworks (Vert.x) and event-driven architectures.

• Knowledge in developing Go-based microservices and Kubernetes plugins (CRDs).

• Skilled in implementing REST APIs and processing JSON.

• Practical experience with unit tests, integration tests, and ideally end-to-end tests.

• Initial experience with authentication & authorization (e.g., via Spring Security, OAuth2/OIDC) in backend systems.

• Experience with Microsoft Exchange (on-prem and/or Exchange Online).

• Initial experience in cryptography (Key Management Systems - KMS, Hardware Security Modules - HSM).
