Backend Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.

📋 Description

• Design, create, test, implement, maintain, and provide support for production-quality application code, requiring a high level of expertise in both frontend and backend development.

• Develop adaptable and scalable RESTful APIs that facilitate dynamic integration with external APIs.

• Comprehend the operational characteristics of production systems, identify irregularities, and take corrective actions to resolve issues.

• Organize, monitor, and communicate progress on work tasks.

• Provide accurate estimates for user stories and tasks, taking into account their effort, complexity, and uncertainty.

• Demonstrate the capability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.

• Exhibit strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with Agile team members.

• Possess good analytical and problem-solving abilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Python.

• At least 2 years of experience with SQL.

• Familiarity with Django or similar Object-Relational Mappers (ORMs).

• Experience with microservices architecture.

• Knowledge of Agile methodologies.

• Bonus Skills: Experience in relational data modeling.

• Proficiency in hybrid cloud technologies such as OpenShift.

• Familiarity with A/B testing platforms.

• Experience with Jenkins or Azure DevOps.

• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, or containerized infrastructure.

• Background in payment processing systems.
