This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

• Deliver expert technical assistance to ensure the functionality of the client application

• Offer support for development, enhancements, accessibility, integration, optimization, and ongoing maintenance

• Guarantee availability and proper operation of systems

• Collaborate within a sprint-based development framework

• Apply knowledge of the AWS cloud environment, Python backend, and TypeScript front-end technologies

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in backend development

• Bachelor’s Degree (3 years of additional experience may be considered in place of a degree)

• Proficiency in using modern software tools to prototype and deploy backend web applications

• Familiarity with web programming languages (such as Ruby, Python) and frameworks (like Django, Rails)

• Experience in developing and utilizing web-based, RESTful APIs

• Background in working within a team that employs agile methodologies

• Capability to author clear and accessible developer documentation

• Knowledge of version control systems

• Experience with both relational and non-relational database systems

• Proficient in scalable search technology

• Ability to manage and scale large datasets and their storage solutions

• Skill in conveying technical concepts to a non-technical audience
