• You will play a key role in designing, constructing, serving, and monitoring cloud-based microservice architectures as an essential member of a high-performing cross-functional team and a community of Backend Engineers.
• Your responsibilities will include utilizing an advanced technology stack that features Scala, Rust, Kubernetes, RESTful APIs, Couchbase, Postgres, Docker, and more.
• You will oversee the complete development cycle, from the design of architecture to implementation, testing, and the ongoing maintenance of our products.
• Close collaboration with Product and Service Delivery Teams, along with your peers in an agile setting, will be crucial.
• Become a part of a team that highly values Continuous Integration, Code Quality, Code Reviews, and Test Coverage, making your positive and dedicated attitude toward these practices essential.
• Your main objective will be to deliver fully functional features and products, crafted with a Domain-Driven mindset, thoroughly tested, and aligned with user needs.
• Proven experience in writing clean code, ideally with a minimum of 3-4 years in Java, Scala, or Rust development.
• Familiarity with both relational databases (e.g., Postgres) and non-relational databases (e.g., Couchbase, Redis, Cassandra/Scylla).
• Understanding of enterprise message buses, such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Experience in creating HTTP APIs and a robust understanding of the HTTP stack.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with the capacity to investigate code deeply.
• A “you build it, you run it” mindset, showcasing a commitment to owning services and applications at scale.
• Excellent team collaboration skills.
• Eagerness to learn and work with Scala and Rust technologies within a modern microservices framework.
• Outstanding communication abilities, including fluency in English, for effective client engagement.
