This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design and oversee enterprise Azure solutions encompassing compute, networking, identity, storage, logging, and monitoring.
• Architect secure Azure landing zones and hybrid cloud setups in accordance with Microsoft best practices and organizational guidelines.
• Spearhead cloud migration and modernization projects transitioning from on-premises or legacy systems to Azure.
• Create and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) utilizing ARM, Bicep, and/or Terraform.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to facilitate automated, repeatable, and compliant infrastructure deployments.
• Integrate security-by-design and Zero Trust principles into all Azure architectures.
• Design and implement Azure-native security measures, such as Azure Policy, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Microsoft Sentinel, identity protection, and conditional access.
• Conduct cloud security posture evaluations and readiness assessments of environments.
• Act as a senior advisor for cloud security and compliance efforts aligned with ISO 27001, SOC 1/2, GDPR, TISAX, and similar regulatory frameworks.
• Lead the interpretation, design, implementation, and operationalization of security and compliance measures within Azure environments.
• Perform compliance and risk gap assessments, translating regulatory requirements into Azure-native technical and operational controls.
• Assist with audit readiness activities, including evidence preparation, control validation, and remediation planning.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to engineering teams, business leaders, and executive stakeholders.
• Over 8 years of experience in cloud architecture, infrastructure, or security roles.
• More than 8 years of practical experience in designing and delivering Azure solutions within enterprise environments.
• Demonstrated experience working in Agile delivery settings; Product Owner or delivery leadership experience is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of Azure networking, identity (Entra ID), governance, and monitoring.
• Proven track record in leading the interpretation, design, implementation, and operationalization of cloud security and compliance controls in alignment with ISO 27001, SOC 1/2, GDPR, TISAX, and similar regulatory frameworks, including gap assessments, audit readiness, remediation efforts, and communication with executive stakeholders.
