This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Serve as a solution architect within the project team, delivering agile software solutions and best-practice insights to achieve organizational results.
• Spearhead the strategic planning and technology roadmaps for a significant federal agency.
• Design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient Azure cloud solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to convert business requirements into technical solutions that align with our strategic objectives.
• Ensure the security, reliability, and performance of Azure-based systems.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the project's lifecycle.
• Keep up to date with the latest Azure features and best practices in cloud architecture.
• Conduct market research and offer specific recommendations, including a SWOT Analysis (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Threat).
• Assist in deployment of information technology planning and implementation support.
• Support the development of project roadmaps for iterative implementations and phased functional expansions using agile/lean methodologies.
• Ensure the successful analysis, design, evaluation, modification, testing, and implementation of agile software development solutions across the organization.
• Collaborate closely with the Project Manager to create detailed plans and assist with business process changes, problem resolution, and functional decision-making.
• Lead functional and technical customer teams in brainstorming and gap-analysis sessions to facilitate modernization efforts aligned with the organization’s long-term strategy.
• Proactively identify potential roadblocks and implement corrective actions to keep the project on schedule while escalating issues to project management as necessary.
• Proven experience in assessing, designing, deploying, and/or maintaining leading financial management SaaS applications and/or ERPs.
• Extensive experience in the design and implementation of Azure solutions, covering infrastructure, networking, and security.
• Strong understanding of Azure services, including Virtual Machines, Azure Active Directory, Azure App Service, Azure Storage, and Azure Functions.
• Significant experience in systems analysis and the development of IT solutions to meet government business needs.
• Experience with Azure administration, Azure development, and DevOps processes.
• Familiarity with governance, data platforms, disaster recovery, and IT operations.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or ARM templates.
• Experience with cloud migration projects and/or hybrid cloud/on-premises environments with SAP S/4 HANA.
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and experience with tools such as Azure DevOps or GitHub.
• Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills.
• Azure certifications, like Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, are advantageous.
• Extensive experience in defining, translating, and/or mapping business requirements to technical specifications.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team.
• Experience in managing technology strategies (preferably with PMP or equivalent project management experience).
