Azure Kubernetes Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, manage, and enhance Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters.

• Oversee Kubernetes workloads, node pools, ingress, scaling, networking, and storage.

• Create and sustain Docker containers along with Kubernetes deployment configurations.

• Develop and support CI/CD pipelines utilizing Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions.

• Automate infrastructure provisioning with Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.

• Establish monitoring, logging, and alerting using tools such as Azure Monitor, Prometheus, and Grafana.

• Diagnose issues related to Kubernetes, infrastructure, networking, and application deployment.

• Apply Kubernetes and Azure security best practices, including RBAC, network policies, secrets management, and workload identity.

• Assist in initiatives for high availability, disaster recovery, backup, and platform reliability.

• Work collaboratively with development and architecture teams to enhance platform scalability and deployment efficiency.

• Produce and update operational documentation, standards, and runbooks.

• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

• Ensure regular and punctual attendance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree from a four (4) year College or University.

• 5+ years of experience in Cloud Infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering.

• 3+ years of practical experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Kubernetes administration.

• Extensive experience with: Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform or Infrastructure as Code, Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions.

• Familiarity with Helm, ingress controllers, and Kubernetes networking concepts.

• Strong troubleshooting abilities in production cloud environments.

• Experience with monitoring and logging platforms.

• Understanding of Azure networking, DNS, load balancing, and cloud security best practices.

• Proficiency in scripting with PowerShell, Bash, or Python.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
