
Azure DevOps Engineer – Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Design and execute comprehensive Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) policies throughout our Azure environment.
• Establish and oversee users, groups, and service principals to guarantee secure, least-privilege access to all Azure resources.
• Create dashboards to track performance, utilization, and health of Azure resources, delivering actionable insights to the engineering team.
• Implement centralized logging and telemetry solutions utilizing Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and related tools.
• Configure proactive alerting to identify and address potential issues before they affect users.
• Architect and deploy scalable infrastructure to accommodate growing workloads as the platform expands.
• Enhance infrastructure and application performance for optimal reliability and responsiveness.
• Analyze resource utilization, detect waste, and suggest cost-saving strategies.
• Ensure economical deployment, scaling, and lifecycle management of Azure resources.
• Take ownership of and enhance CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and automation of deployments.
• Establish infrastructure-as-code practices using Terraform, Bicep, or similar tools.
• Uphold security best practices across all environments.
• Develop and advocate for best practices regarding Azure infrastructure and DevOps processes within the engineering team.
• Offer guidance and mentorship to team members on cloud architecture, security, and operational excellence.
• Over 5 years of practical experience with Azure cloud services, including infrastructure setup, management, and optimization.
• Expertise in configuring and managing RBAC, users, groups, and service principals within Azure.
• Strong understanding of Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and associated monitoring and observability tools.
• Experience in designing and building custom dashboards for resource monitoring and performance assessment.
• Proficiency in logging and telemetry frameworks, along with setting up proactive alerting mechanisms.
• Familiarity with DevOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and tools like Azure DevOps.
• Demonstrated ability to design scalable cloud architectures while optimizing for both performance and cost.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills focused on proactive and preventative solutions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, comfortable mentoring engineers and advising leadership.
• Ability to work remotely while aligning with UK business hours (9:00 AM to 6:00 PM GMT/BST).
