Azure DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and scale cloud infrastructure along with CI/CD capabilities that support healthcare applications and services.

• Implement and govern Infrastructure as Code (IaC) utilizing Terraform.

• Drive compliance alignment within DevOps processes to adhere to SOC 2 and HIPAA standards.

• Automate deployment, monitoring, and operational reliability for distributed cloud services.

• Collaborate with security, compliance, and audit teams to facilitate continuous monitoring.

• Deliver infrastructure and application deployments during weekend release windows when necessary; participate in an on-call rotation.

• Enforce and contribute to engineering standards, best practices, and conduct technical design reviews.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing long-term solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in DevOps or Cloud Engineering.

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with both Azure and AWS platforms.

• Proficiency in YAML-based pipelines (including multi-stage, reusable templates, variable groups, and environments).

• Completion of a program of study typically requiring four years of post-secondary education or higher in Computer Science or a related technical field.

• Proficient in using Azure DevOps (ADO) and GitHub/GitHub Actions for CI/CD, repository management, and pipeline governance.

• Skilled in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.

• Expertise with Azure Cosmos DB, Kubernetes platforms (AKS, EKS), or GitOps tools (such as Argo CD, Flux).

• Experience with observability tools like Azure Application Insights, New Relic, Azure Monitor, and CloudWatch.

• Possession of certifications such as AZ-104 and AZ-400.
