This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and execute a data science strategy that aligns with the goals and objectives of projects.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to pinpoint opportunities for utilizing data in HR processes, including recruitment, retention, training, and performance management.
• Lead the exploration and analysis of extensive datasets to uncover trends, patterns, insights, data quality issues, gaps, and enhancements.
• Design, develop, and validate predictive models utilizing machine learning algorithms and statistical techniques.
• Deploy and uphold machine learning models in production while ensuring their scalability and reliability.
• Create data visualizations with tools such as Power BI to effectively communicate insights to stakeholders.
• Guide and mentor a team of data scientists.
• Collaborate with software developers, system architects, and business analysts to integrate data science solutions.
• Implement data validation and cleansing processes to maintain data quality and accuracy.
• Ensure compliance of data science activities with applicable DoD regulations and security policies.
• Investigate advancements in data science and machine learning, and assess technologies and techniques to enhance HR processes.
• Create and sustain comprehensive documentation of data science processes, models, and outcomes.
• Over 10 years of professional experience, with at least 10 years in data science, machine learning, and statistical modeling.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, statistics, mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• United States citizenship is required for security clearance eligibility.
• Active CompTIA Security+ certification.
• Proficiency in statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and data mining techniques.
• Strong expertise in the Azure Cloud environment.
• Experience with Azure, Data Lake, Synapse Analytics, Machine Learning, Databricks, Logic Apps, and AI Foundry.
• Proficient in Python, R, SQL, and PySpark.
• Strong command of Python or a comparable language and SQL for data preparation, analysis, and modeling.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI.
• Practical experience with Microsoft Dataverse for data storage and management.
• Extensive experience with data extraction, cleaning, and transformation (ETL) processes.
• Knowledge in data governance, metadata management, and data cataloging.
• Strong understanding of database technologies and SQL.
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power BI and Power Automate, is a plus.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership abilities.
