Azure Cloud Engineer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with a skilled and highly motivated team consisting of Architects, Engineers, Relationship Managers, and Product Teams.

• Automate PAAS and IAAS deployments for customer environments on the Microsoft Azure platform.

• Design best practices and deployment methodologies for Azure environments.

• Develop automation tools and processes to enhance the daily functions of the Team and Racker.

• Provide education to customers on Azure and Rackspace best practices and architectural standards.

• Assist in conducting educational briefings for teammates to facilitate their growth through technical training.

• Serve as an escalation point for our Support Engineers when necessary.

• Ensure a consistently exceptional Fanatical Support experience for our customers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience working with Azure and executing cloud deployments.

• Proficient understanding of Azure Resources and Services, Scaling, Load Balancing, CDNs, Networking, etc.

• Experience in automating and orchestrating workloads on Azure.

• Familiarity with creating Terraform and/or ARM templates.

• Proficient in scripting, particularly with PowerShell and Bash.

• Experience with Microsoft Active Directory.

• Knowledge of at least one of the following programming languages: C#, JSON, Python.

• Experience with GIT, VSTS, and Terraform.

• Proficient in KQL for Alert Creation and modifications.

• Skilled in utilizing CI/CD tools to automate testing and deployment.

• Experience with Azure services and APIs.

• Strong skills in Windows environments.

• Familiarity with databases like SQL Server and MySQL.

• Understanding of Backup and Recovery methodologies and implementations.

• Preferred knowledge of supported network appliances and related solutions in Azure.

• Preferred understanding of Azure federation services.

• Good knowledge of application development using Agile and DevOps best practices.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Effective time management skills with the ability to meet expected deliverables.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work on several concurrent projects.

• Must hold Azure 900 & 104 Certifications.

• Willingness to work in a 24/7 environment across all available shifts.
