This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Design, implement, and maintain Azure infrastructure, prioritizing availability, security, and disaster recovery.
• Architect and assist with Azure Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions, including Azure Arc-enabled servers and hybrid workloads.
• Design and manage Azure networking components, such as VNets, subnets, routing, NSGs, firewalls, and DMZ architectures.
• Deploy, manage, and secure Azure Firewalls, VPNs, and establish connectivity to on-premises and third-party environments.
• Support and integrate AI Foundry along with Azure AI services, ensuring alignment with organizational security policies.
• Implement and support Microsoft Fabric encompassing data ingestion, analytics, and governance processes.
• Design and enforce security measures, data access controls, and compliance standards within Azure.
• Manage Azure costs effectively and enhance resource utilization efficiency.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) utilizing Bicep.
• Construct, integrate, and secure APIs utilized by both internal and external systems.
• Implement observability and operational health metrics using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and alerting mechanisms.
• Deploy and manage Azure servers (both Windows and Linux), including tasks related to patching, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with security, application, and data teams to ensure that cloud solutions adhere to operational and compliance requirements.
• Engage in architecture reviews, incident response, and initiatives focused on continuous improvement.
• Over 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud engineering, or systems administration.
• More than 3 years of hands-on experience in designing and supporting Microsoft Azure environments.
• Strong practical experience as an Azure Engineer or Azure Administrator in an enterprise context.
• Azure certification (e.g., Azure Administrator, Azure Security Engineer, Azure Solutions Architect) is required.
• Demonstrated expertise in Azure Disaster Recovery and hybrid cloud solutions.
• Proficiency in Azure networking, firewalls, and DMZ design.
• Familiarity with Azure AI services and AI Foundry.
• Experience in API design, deployment, and security measures.
• Knowledge of Azure Monitor and logging solutions.
• Competence in managing Azure virtual machines and server environments.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Bicep.
• Strong understanding of cloud security principles, including identity and access control.
