This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, implement, and uphold secure, scalable, and highly available AWS cloud infrastructures that fulfill government mission needs.
• Collaborate with government leaders and Product Owners to grasp technical specifications, clarify project scope, and verify release schedules.
• Architect and execute AWS solutions utilizing EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, ECS/EKS, and API Gateway.
• Create and sustain infrastructure as code through CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK.
• Develop and oversee CI/CD pipelines employing tools like AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, and GitLab CI.
• Establish monitoring, logging, and alerting systems using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and related technologies.
• Ensure infrastructure adheres to government governance, auditability, security, and compliance standards, including FedRAMP, agency ATO requirements, and NIST 800-53.
• Configure and manage networking, security groups, encryption, and identity/access controls in line with federal security guidelines.
• Facilitate integrations between AWS-hosted systems and external platforms, such as APIs, middleware, and third-party SaaS solutions.
• Diagnose and resolve infrastructure, performance, and deployment challenges; document root causes and corrective actions.
• Deliver oral and written presentations to government managers.
• Generate executive-level technical summaries and decision-support documents.
• Carry out additional job-related responsibilities as assigned.
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Science, Information Systems Management, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, or Engineering, combined with a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience.
• Alternatively, seven (7) years of applicable work experience may replace educational qualifications.
• Proven experience in designing, deploying, and managing AWS cloud infrastructure for federal or public sector clients.
• Proficiency in EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, and ECS/EKS.
• Experience with infrastructure as code using CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK.
• Competence in constructing and managing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud security, networking, and identity/access management within a regulated context.
• Experience implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions on AWS.
• Familiarity with FedRAMP, ATO, or NIST 800-53 compliance frameworks is preferred.
• AWS certification is advantageous, such as Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, or DevOps Engineer.
• Experience with Salesforce, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Public Sector Solutions, or MuleSoft, is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to brief senior government stakeholders.
• Capability to obtain and sustain a government-required background investigation or security clearance as necessary.
• U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
