AWS Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Identifying, generating, and preparing the data necessary for modern Data solutions and AI initiatives.

• Designing ETL and ELT processes for effective data transformations.

• Developing, constructing, and overseeing Datalake architectures.

• Engaging with Apache Hadoop projects, including Spark, Hive, Pig, Oozie, Airflow, and others.

• Integrating and validating Data solutions.

• Creating and documenting test cases to fulfill requirements.

• Collaborating within Big Data environments.

• Managing Data Cloud services, ensuring data access, security, and governance.

• Analyzing and preparing data for Machine Learning tasks.

• Overseeing monitoring and logging of applications and services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in a Data Engineer/Architect role, including tasks such as ETL, data preparation and ingestion, and data streaming.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Cloud environments, specifically AWS.

• Proficiency in Python, R, or other data processing tools.

• Intermediate to Advanced level of English proficiency.

• Experience with Apache Spark.

• Familiarity with AWS Data services such as S3, AWS Glue, Athena, Sagemaker, etc.

• Knowledge of DevOps tools including Git and pipelines.

• Experience working in an Agile Scrum team.

• Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
