AWS Cloud Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as a collaborative resource for product teams, delivering expertise and scalable solutions for data integration, modeling, and analytics across all products.

• Design and execute scalable data pipelines utilizing AWS services such as AWS Glue, AWS Data Pipeline, and Amazon Kinesis.

• Develop and sustain all Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) for primary product teams using tools like AWS CloudFormation or CDK.

• Create and maintain data storage solutions leveraging Amazon S3, Redshift, RDS, DynamoDB, or other AWS-managed databases.

• Design and construct code pipelines for our main product application to:

• Assemble application components.

• Execute automated tests crafted by the QA team.

• Perform static code analysis.

• Permit or restrict commits or PR merges based on established quality thresholds.

• Deploy and oversee AWS infrastructure resources as necessary to support both organizational and product-specific objectives.

• Implement monitoring, logging, and centralization of application instrumentation to provide real-time insights and facilitate troubleshooting.

• Enhance ETL workflows to effectively manage data across various sources and destinations.

• Configure and manage AWS IAM policies, roles, and security-related settings to ensure secure access and data protection.

• Remain informed about AWS advancements and propose tools or best practices to improve the organization’s data ecosystem.

• Produce thorough documentation and deliver training for AWS-based data solutions, ensuring knowledge transfer and user-friendliness.

• Ensure that all data processes and systems comply with security best practices, in line with OWASP Top 10, CWE Top 25 guidelines, and the CIS AWS Foundations Benchmark.

• At least 5 years of relevant work experience in data engineering.

• Strong analytical abilities with a knack for converting data into actionable insights.

• Outstanding technical writing and verbal communication skills.

• Proven experience collaborating across functions with internal and external stakeholders.

• Ability to successfully pass stringent background checks is mandatory.

• Clean driving record is required.
