AVP, Bank & Broker Dealer Channel – Product Development

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Report to the Head of Product Development, responsible for the overall product strategy.

• Act as the subject matter expert and owner for all annuity and life solutions in product development.

• Manage the complete product lifecycle from initial concept to launch and post-launch management.

• Identify opportunities for product innovation through competitive analysis, distributor feedback, and market research.

• Create product concepts that meet Bank/BD shelf requirements.

• Develop and present business cases to leadership.

• Oversee all Bank/BD annuity and life solutions throughout the entire product lifecycle.

• Collaborate with Senior Product Development Business Analysts.

• Assess post-launch performance and initiate enhancements or corrective actions as necessary.

• Review all Bank/BD marketing materials and sales collateral to ensure accuracy.

• Assist in training and preparation activities for distribution partners and internal stakeholders prior to product launches.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in annuity and/or life product development with complete implementation ownership.

• In-depth knowledge of annuity and life products, including design, crediting strategies, rider mechanics, and regulatory requirements.

• Proven experience as a product owner within a structured development or implementation environment.

• Familiarity with illustration platforms, policy administration systems, and/or TPA partnerships.

• Capability to translate product concepts into detailed, actionable business requirements.

• Strong communication and influencing skills across Pricing, Operations, Compliance, Distribution, and Technology.

• Direct experience or considerable exposure to the Bank/BD distribution channel.

• Bachelor’s degree is required; an advanced degree or MBA is a plus.
